Riva Aquarama Speed Boat

In the world of speed boats, Riva was the one to be seen in when you were out and about around the moorings in Cannes and Monte Carlo  in the 1950’s and 1960’s. The very definition of luxury and style, the Riva Aquarama was introduced in 1962 by the Italian company and even with a compliment of 8 people on board, its twin 220hp motors were good enough to send this beauty along at up to 40 knots.

This superb model, which is available at Grand Prix Legends now, is almost 26 inches long and has been lovingly crafted from Mahogany. It has a real leather interior and chrome covered bronze fittings as well. To finish it off, this wonderful collector’s piece comes on a chrome stand.

The price at the time of writing this was only £299.99 at Grand Prix Legends

Valentino Rossi - 2006 Yamaha YZR M1

Even though 2006 was not a championship winning year for Valentino Rossi, replicas of his Yamaha YZR-M1 from that year are incredibly sought after.

This 1/12 scale replica of Rossi’s YZR-M1 from Minichamps is currently being sold by Grand Prix Legends without the ‘Team’ or leaning race bike logos due to licensing issues between Yamaha, Camel and Minichamps.

I’m not sure if that means that this model will be even more sought after in the future once the licensing issues have been sorted out. At the time of writing this, Grand Prix Legends had this bike for sale at only £42.99

Macfarlane Lost Action Figures - Sawyer

In the 20th episode of the 1st season of Lost, which was called ‘Born to Run’ Sawyer helped build a raft which was going to be the group’s salvation. Unfortunately it didn’t quite turn out like that and the raft as we suspected was doomed to fail. This exceptionally life-like action figure from Macfarlane takes that episode as its inspiration and includes a superb custom base and a photo backdrop. It also incorporates sounds taken straight from the Lost soundtrack as well.

Just when you were starting to think, that’s not a bad deal for £11.49, there’s even more! Sawyer carries around with him a letter he wrote to ‘Mr. Sawyer’, the man who conned his parents out of their life savings, a situation which eventually led to their deaths. With this action figure, you also get a life size replica of that letter.

So, what are you waiting for? You get all that for only £11.49 and Forbidden Planet are waiting to sell you one right now.

AUTOart 2006 Jaguar XK

Jaguar fans may have already splashed out on the Minichamps version of the 1/18 scale 2006 Jaguar XK, but personally I think it is usually worth waiting the extra time it takes to get a more detailed replica onto the market.

Don’t get me wrong, the Minichamps version is a great replica for the price, and the AUTOart version is quite a bit more expensive at £49.99, but you get what you pay for as they say because the attention to detail is stunning.

Want one? Grand Prix Legends will sort one for you.

Minichamps Porsche 911 GT3 RSR

The prototype for this model was first shown at the Nuremberg Toy Fair in 2006.  We have had to wait a painful 12 months before Minichamps were happy enough with the finished product to release it onto the market.

As with any Porsche RS model, the 911 GT3 RSR was devoid of any unnecessary equipment, which included stereo, sunroof, rear seats, air conditioning or sound deadening insulation, although later, air con and a CD stereo were available as optional extras.

All this weight saving effort ended up producing what is probably one of the most complete track day cars available.

This 1/18 scale replica of the Porsche 911 GT3 RSR from Minichamps is available now from Grand Prix Legends priced at £49.99
